Editorial Review

The helicopter’s primacy as Hollywood’s premier source of amazing cinematography is being challenged well above its own turf. And the challenge is of such a nature that ambitious amateurs with a little operating capital can create some of the same majestic, sweeping-glory shots once reserved exclusively for choppers with extensive camera rigs and highly paid industry professionals. It is not hard to imagine chopper owners and highly paid industry professionals not being overjoyed by this.

The consumer is apparently pleased enough to warrant over 70 UAV manufacturers, and hundreds of flying, racing, stunting, filming and playing drones in all shapes and sizes. Among the throng, a few multi-copters bear note. The MJX X600 is a multi-copter on the low end of the price spectrum and comes with an FPV camera package. The tough and stylish Tali H500 by Walkera offers the iLooks camera on a 3-axis brushless-gimbal while the Walkera QR X900 comes with 6 rotors which are down-gradable to a 4- and a 22- pound payload.

World Tech Toys introduces the Alpha, their nimble camera multi-copter. This one is billed as a Camera RC Spy Drone, and with its ability to get the shot, it may live up to it. 3D flight technology provides stable navigation and the live-feed LCD screen on the controller features FPV for the operator. The 720p HD video camera allows adequate resolution for FPV fun but is likely not the camera for broadcast quality imagery. Some users have indicated drive deficiencies which, with 6 motors, poses a concern. With only 9 minutes flight time and a range suggested at 1640 feet, a juicier battery seems to be called for. At least for any serious spying.

Great little drone! Very stable to fly. Take offs and landing are gentle. It is well built and worth the money. I would say to any one you should consider buying this one.

I had this product in the air for about 30 seconds and the lateral motor burned out. Also, the video didn't work. Glad the store took it back for a refund.

Good drone and lots of features for the money. Not really for the inexperienced beginner, needs a large space to learn. Craft could use some propeller guards also.

One propeller is non-functional out of the box.

Sadly, one of his motors burned up as well just like all the other reviews said. Would be a awesome drone if they would fix the defect!

Drone arrived broken! It looks like it would be a fun item if it would run. I need to know how to return for repair or replacement please.
