Unlike the Waterpik Classic Professional or Waterpik Cordless Freedom, the Power Flosser from Waterpik is not a water flosser. It isn't rechargeable and doesn't plug into the wall, though it is portable and cordless, like the Cordless Professional.
The Power Flosser is a high-tech, hybrid floss/toothpick, which uses a flexible nylon tip that slips between the teeth at a gentle 10,000 strokes per minute. The head is angled for easier access to the back of the mouth. It comes with 15 disposable flossing tips and 1 AA battery. Certainly pricier than a pack of floss, yet more affordable than water flossers, the main issue comes from those who have very tightly spaced teeth.
Infrequent flossers may floss more. It's easier to maneuver than string floss. It's a Godsend to people with braces or other dental work.
I like the concept of the flosser, but would like it better if the tips were a little sturdier.
I bought this to help me floss faster. This was not worth it. It was very hard to use with braces and I don't recommend it. The tip breaks easily.
It solved the chore of flossing my back teeth since getting braces.
It is difficult, sometimes impossible, to get in between tightly spaced teeth. I can barely slide the thick tips down the sides of my front teeth.
