For some, the foray into all the marvelous technology bursting around us is necessarily more exploration than full-blown commitment, and with good reason. Given that such commitments can easily slide into 5 figures or more, the many available 2- and 3-figure exploratory options hold considerable appeal. There are a lot of truly amazing products becoming available to the consumer with some remarkable capacities for work and play. Some of the big ticket tools have actually transmogrified into small priced toys.
Intellectually, it would seem that a flying toy would cost more than a pool toy. And, if like the pool toy, it actually hauled one around, it most assuredly would. As pool toys go, Sea-Doo has come up with a doozy. The Dolphin looks a little like the Sea Doo VS Supercharged Plus if it had been made by Fisher-Price for traversing the waterways of Legoland. Bright yellow with blue trim, it is the young swimmers' way to get their kicks in the pool without having to do any kicking in the pool.
The Sea-Doo Dolphin is rated to haul youngsters up to 10 years old, and unless they are enormous, should serve most pool propulsion proficiently. It is easy to use and, with reputed buoyancy issues, apparently not too hard to lose. While indicated to float surface-wise when released, some users suggest other directions apply as well. This is not bad in the pool where the bottom can be seen but is problematic in larger, less clearly defined bodies of water, so tethering is not a bad suggestion. Super-light, it weighs in at 12 lbs. and is good for a 1.5 hour run time before recharging. It putts along at 2 mph and is rated for 15 ft. deep. Like its big brother, the VS Supercharged Plus, it has a protective prop cage, which is always appreciated near things with spinning blades.
. . . Spend a couple of minutes rinsing off the salt water after each use. The run time has not diminished and it still is the toy of choice for the water.
Great product but this lacks in performance and speed. Do not expect this to throw you around on the water. It is very slow. Maybe good for kids.
Hours of Fun, Attractive Design, Weather Resistant, Sturdy, Durable, Easy Assembly, "Good Quality." It will even pull a large adult but it is designed for children.
This is the third scooter we have purchased for our granddaughters . . . They are easily operated by young children. A definite hit at the pool!
This hand held mini jet is amazing when you really just want to get around. Sometimes the sun takes a lot of energy out you and this guy can help when energy stores are low.
Battery is difficult to work with and won't go in sea scooter easily.
