While the Robomow RS 612 lacks the coverage capacity of an Evatech RCLM BE Class, which can tackle an entire football field, the 612 is good-to-go on grassy surfaces of a quarter of an acre or less, when the diminutive Robomow RM510 won’t do. Dual steel blades provide wide coverage, and the Counter-Balance deck “floats” to follow the contours of the cutting area on inclines of up to 35 degrees.
Since the invention of the rotary mower in 1830, lawn care has undergone a revolution of sorts. Lawn care advocates have entered a joyous new age requiring less direct maintenance for more manicured lawn. A necessarily labor intensive activity, the development of more sophisticated labor-saving devices has substantially reduced the effort involved in lawn care. The internal combustion engine made mowers more effective but no less exhausting for their operators. The electric motor solved that problem, while creating another: power cords prone to entanglement, shredding and other dismaying service interruptions. Just as wireless technology has revolutionized human communication and spared many a performing artist the hazards of high-voltage spaghetti onstage, the rechargeable electric mower has reinvented lawn care by removing those accursed cords.
In case cordlessness isn’t enough of a safety enhancement, another feature freezes the Robomow’s blades if the bot is tilted or picked up. Bluetooth connectivity and the Robomow app allow you to control the little clipper from your Smartphone or tablet. And for ambitious types with larger lawns, the brawnier Robomow RS630 will tame up to three quarters of an acre without breaking a sweat.
I'm happy to report that this mower reaches all areas of my yard with an accuracy of 99.5% as long as you input the correct sq ft for each zone when initially setting it up.
Easy to control what times it will cut and how often. Handy app for the iPhone...I am very happy with this mower, highly recommended!
The mower is super powerful but at the same time quiet. Parental Control, Anti-theft and rain sensor works fine. Recommended!
It is not a cheap lawn mower by any stretch of the imagination, but it does truly provide hands-off convenience and is designed to cut grass expertly.
I try to have the RS612 use its "narrow path" technology...This worked but is not a stable configuration. Accuracy of the navigation seems to be questionable.
