Editorial Review

There's no denying the utility of e-scooters as PTVs for commuters and college students, yet they still retain their ranking in the hearts of millions of kids. Oftentimes, the push/kick scooter is how a child learns to become comfortable on wheeled vehicles, later learning the basics of bicycles, then eventually graduating to cars. Chances are good that if a kid learned to ride a scooter after 1999, it was the Razor brand, which was invented and manufactured by Micro Mobility and JD Corporation, respectively. The Razor, in its many incarnations, is now made by Razor USA, based in Cerritos, California.

The Power Core E90 from Razor is another offering from a company that has an e-scooter for every type of kid and utility. For instance, the tough Razor RX200 is for the 15 and older crowd, made for trails and dirt paths. The Razor Power Rider 360 is for 8-year-olds who don't necessarily want to go anywhere but enjoy spinning and drifting all day. Meanwhile, the Razor Pocket Mod is a perfect way to make 13-year-old girls feel like they're traveling in Italy.

As for the Power Core E90, which is recommended for kids of 8-plus years, it comes in either green or pink, so youngsters of either gender can enjoy it. It comes with increased ride time and torque, both twice that of the regular E90. It's maintenance-free, lacking alignment, chain, and chain tensioner. It is comprised of an all-steel frame and fork, a kick-start, high-torque hub motor, and a urethane front wheel. Features include push-button acceleration control, a hand-operated front brake, and a retractable kickstand. The Power Core E90 weighs merely 22 lbs. and supports up to 120 lbs. The 12-volt SLA rechargeable battery, which is included, takes anywhere from a couple of hours to overnight to charge. This e-scooter can speed up to 10 mph and is good for up to 80 minutes of continuous use. Note that this is not a folding scooter.

A bit noisy (ok for outdoors) but seems solid. Son loves this so much!

Overall, this scooter has a great battery, lasts a long time and the scooter is easy to build straight out of box... my son loves it and doesn't leave it alone.
