Editorial Review

So-called millennials likely recall Razor scooters with nostalgia akin to Nickelodeon or "Stacey's Mom" -- for many youth of the day, the brand became synonymous with after-school adventures and endless trick attempts in the driveway. One can only imagine how much better that would have been with a battery powered engine -- except now you don't have to.

The Razor e90 is smaller than some of Razor's other offerings; while their E325 is practically begging for a parent to get on and try, the e90's carrying capacity of 120 lbs will keep most moms, dads, and big brothers from hopping on. The e90 offers up to 70 minutes of continuous use, with speeds up to 10 mph. "90's kids" everywhere likely pine for what might have been.

Aesthetically, the e90 resembles a motorized version of the classic aluminum Razor scooter, available in a variety of colors. It's simple and timeless; consistency in appearance is likely no coincidence given the parental age of many early Razor users who may seek to give their kids everything they themselves ever wanted growing up.

The Razor e90 makes no bold promises to radicalize the future of transportation. This is a message communicated by many competing e-scooter manufacturers, but Razor -- perhaps wisely, perhaps overly cautiously -- seems to harbor no intentions of joining that fray. As they have since 1999, Razor seems to be content going on making products that make some 12-year old's afternoon one hell of a time.

My grandson loves it. Took it camping and he rode it up and down the campground road with no problem. It actually goes pretty fast.

These are the best scooters. 155 pound hubby rides them even though the weight limit is 120lbs.

Excellent, really sturdy and my 7 year old boy loves it. I was concerned that it would go too fast, but it is fine.
