Editorial Review

The PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed is an automatic, programmable, battery-operated pet feeder. Available in black BPA-free plastic and stainless steel, it looks suspiciously like a coffee maker. Mister Kibble. Instead, its conveyor dispenses dry and semi-moist pet kibble. The hopper holds 24 cups of dry food, and the included stainless steel bowl holds 5 cups of food. There is a locking translucent lid and the dispenser is pet-proof, which is somewhat ironic. The Simply Feed is programmable up to 12 meals a day with flexible meal portions from 1/8 cup to 4 cups. It features a Slow Feed Mode which dispenses meals over 15 minutes, an Immediate Feed Mode for jackpot delivery, and a Pause Feed Mode to temporarily regroup. It also comes with 2 preset dog or cat feeding options for quick setup and an LCD screen with 5-button navigation.

Automatic pet feeders are overtaking traditional indoor pet feeding methods such as the can opener and bowl, perpetuating the idea that feeding Fido and Fifi is a chore. Yet there are times when the pet owner's schedule interferes with that of the pet's meal time and there’s no reason to risk kitty guilt if you don’t have to. Products like the Petwatch PW SA can be there for your pets when you cannot, like for a weekend away or a late night at work. Or perhaps your pet has weight issues, in which case an automatic feeder can be programmed to dole out controlled portions. Better they blame the bot than the master for their night rumbles.

The Simply Feed is best for cats and small or medium dogs. The batteries are not included and a power adapter is sold separately. Use it only indoors and never with wet food. Or coffee.

Really good!!! Up to 12 feeds/day and the limitation of days is related to the amount of food that can be stored. Very reliable.

Worth the money. Easy to set up and feeds properly every time. Internally the conveyor belt with slats feeding upward to dump chute makes for even accurate portions.

Broken after 6 weeks. It works great when it works, but now it does not show any sign of life, despite a new set of batteries.

A really nice auto feeder and nice quality. Programming takes a few minutes to understand, but then goes easily. Has all the features I wanted...

This is the first automatic feeder I purchased because it was the only one that seemed to have all the features I needed. Really ended up working great!

Programming is horrible! I would take it back if I hadn't bought it online. They could've made it way easier to program.

I've been using this for about 2 straight weeks and couldn't be any happier. No problems at all. Totally worth what I paid... Loving it!

Two weeks into use and is working great. Other reviews indicating high noise level when food hits the bowl is accurate. Still happy with it though...
