Editorial Review

The Osaki OS-7075R costs in the mid-to-high range of massage chair prices, but on the plus side it has a glowing LED circle on each side that changes colors in patterns, which will look really cool to onlookers and should provide an incredible psychedelic ambience if you're using it in a dimly lit room. The chair will also give you a massage.

About that massage: This unit will recline you into the zero-gravity position that's apparently required by law in all but the least expensive massage chairs. This position evens out the weight on your body, reducing strain on your spine and using some gravitational assistance to pull you down against the rollers on your back for a deeper rub. The unit uses an infrared scan to determine the depth of your flesh and personalize the way it prods into your muscles. The massage literally extends from heat to toe: An airbag massager will gently squeeze your headaches away, while a foot roller runs under the soles of your feet. To take care of the vast region in between, an S-track sends four rollers along your back from your neck to the base of your spine. And there's mild heat therapy in strategic positions to soften you up for the rollers. Your arms will be cuddled by the side-arm massagers and the lower-leg massager will do the same for your other set of limbs. A stretch function can pull on your spine and legs, if you ask it to.

You can do the asking with the included remote, which allows you to turn on any of six preset massage routines. A holder on the right arm can grip the remote so that you don't have to fiddle with your arms while you're having them relaxed. You can choose between kneading, tapping, clapping and Shiatsu-style massage without having to reach farther than the remote holder.

As mentioned, the price on this unit isn't trivial, so for some other, less-expensive massage chairs you might look at the Human Touch HT-135 or the Titan TI-7700, either of which is likely to cause your bank account less pain.

The massages themselves are deep tissue, even the lowest setting I found myself exhaling through some of the programs. Massage elements of the airbags and rollers are amazing.

One of the best zero gravity massage chairs on the market. Also has a nice heat therapy system. A very nice chair!
