Editorial Review

Home cleaning robots can do several things, sometimes even doing a few of them well enough that we can sit back and congratulate ourselves on such a fine purchase. At least until we purchase the next one. However, if you're a pet owner, there is one more job these home bots are good for -- pet taxis. Yes, there are a lot of YouTube videos showing pets riding these things, a feature that, so far, no manufacturer has listed on their site. This is a mistake because many of these floorbots already do multiple tasks, so transporting the cat or dog helps fatten up the "Special Skills" section of their resumes. Also, it appears they are quite good at it.

Which is more than can be said of their primary utility as floor cleaners. There are so many of these bots that very few seem to really shine. The Techko Maid RV318-S is a mopper/vacuum/sweeper that comes in a variety of candy coloring. The Lilin B2005Plus is a decent vacuum but isn't so strong on mopping. The iRobot Scooba 450 is a moderately rated floor scrubbing specialist. Then there's the Moneual Rydis H68 Pro, a robovacmop that stands out from its competitors due to its ability to vacuum and mop at the same time.

The H68 Pro's mapping system utilizes a camera to determine the best cleaning path. 3 cleaning modes are available, with the Hybrid Cleaning enabling the robot to vacuum and mop hard flooring simultaneously. This is achieved by the combination of multiple brushes, BLDC suction, a reusable microfiber mop, and the water tank working together. For daily cleaning, the bot has 2 Reservation Cleaning modes, one of which starts an hour from the time you set it while the other begins at the same time each day. This robot can actually speak to you when it needs maintenance, or to let you know what it's doing. It runs on a lithium iron phosphate battery, and includes the charging station, a power adapter with a cord, a remote control with batteries, a Big Mop kit, 1 set of side brushes, a user manual, and a quick-start guide. Regardless how it performs, it can still moonlight as a Pet Uber.

Excellent product. Cleans very well. Exceeded my expectations.

The Moneual Rydis H68 Pro Hybrid Robotic Vacuum Cleaner will fit the bill. It does a good job of both tasks, but its programming options are limited.

Quite disappointed with advertised features. The mop cleaning feature does not perform as efficient as features claim. The unit misses spots during mopping.

Not a happy customer unfortunately. The robot is great but the side brushes must have been faulty or something as after one use the bristles are gone.

Thanks largely to its advanced navigational abilities, the Rydis H68 Pro is an extremely capable and versatile robot -- and at just 500 bucks, it's also a great value.

Can't run consistently. Moves, stops, moves, stops. It's like a robot from the 1960s.
