If you've been looking at the Miele CM6310 automated espresso machine and wondering if you could afford it, you might want to move to the next display at Bed Bath & Beyond (or the next page on Amazon.com) and check out its less expensive sibling, the Miele CM6110. Like the higher-end model, the CM6110 will serve up one or two cappuccinos, café lattes or macchiatos at the touch of a button. You can program the machine in advance for the drink you want poured when you hit that button and, in case there are other people in your family who want to wake up to a different caffeinated combo, there are multiple profiles that can retain different coffee programs. If your spouse just made plain coffee (actually a possibility on this device), you can deselect their profile and choose your own instead. No more describing your drink to a barista and having to remember the difference between a tall and a grande. It's more like asking your favorite bartender for "the usual" and having it poured into a glass on the spot, though that may only happen in the movies. Miele's website lists the drinks you can program, a list that includes regular coffee (in enough quantity to fill a large mug), espresso with extra thick crema, hot milk or froth on its own (or in cocoa), ristretto, caffè latte and latte machiato.
Unlike the more expensive model, this Miele machine doesn't have an integrated milk holder. Instead, it comes with a tube that can be inserted into your own milk bottle so that it can warm and froth the contents. It also doesn't have cup warmers, so you won't have preheated mugs when your hot drink comes pouring out. It's self rinsing, though, so you can clean out the spigots and the milk tube after you use them. It essentially does everything its big brother does, including grinding the beans you pour in from the top, but requires a little more effort on your part.
This machine ended up better than we could have hoped. The machine is self explanatory, but comes with a pretty detailed instruction book. I would have bought this sooner.
The coffee maker looks great. Makes a great cup of regular coffee, but unit did not come with mike flask and milk tube as advertised.
On the whole, it's also really well built and feels like it will stand the test of time. In all, it’s a brilliant machine that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend.
Best ever coffee maker! Five stars!
Powder does not pass through, you must always manually push or control. Bean container is too small. Ultimately annoying! Nice outside, but ugly inside...
Good quality. Corresponds to my expectations. Beautiful machine! Easy to use and intuitive. Thanks to its touch screen and low noise. The coffee is delicious.
Easy to operate, delicious coffee, easy to clean and coffee is hot. Simple to use with a variety of choices for delicious coffee. Excellent purchase!
I am very happy with this machine. It is very easy to use; needs hardly any manual... Incredibly user-friendly machine that makes great coffee!
I use it now for almost 2 years and it's great. The brewing unit is easy to clean. Manual is organized. A versatile machine! We make 2 cups at the same time. Very satisfied!
Great coffee and cappuccino. Easy to maintain. Perfect ergonomics. Excellent machine!
