Editorial Review

The Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus Plus is an extension of the Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus. It has a lot of features for the price, which is not to say that the price is low but that the features are plentiful. It uses CleverClean Technology. (High-tech companies like Maytronics like to come up with clever names for technology that's similar to what their competitors offer, just so they can give that tech trademark protection.) This is what helps the Nautilus Plus navigate the pool like an ancient mariner navigating the ocean by the stars. (It's hard to see the stars from inside a pool. Or in the daytime.) CleverClean guarantees that every spot in your pool gets the scrubbing, sucking treatment, as efficiently as possible.

Particles picked up and sucked up while the Nautilus Plus stalks your pool go into a filter that can be removed from the top of the unit, so that you don't have to flip the Nautilus Plus upside down to get at them. Dump them, hose the filters out and put them back in, so that the unit can go back to work. If you're worried about the possibility of needing repairs on your Nautilus Plus, relax. It's designed in a modular fashion so that broken parts can be removed from the rest and replaced with fresh ones, which can then be put back into the mix without having to send the whole unit back to the manufacturer for repair. That alone justifies the unit's fairly high price.

Like most modern pool-cleaning bots, the Nautilus Plus is attached to an electric cable with a swivel built into it. Every time the Plus heads off in a new direction, the swivel turns with it, preventing the sort of disaster you may even now be hiding underneath your computer desk, with wires and cables curling together into mating positions. This feature isn't unique, but it's great to have.

For some other units with similar tech (and swivels on their electric cables), look at the Aquabot Pool Rover S2-40, the Maytronics Dolphin Quantum and the Hayward TigerShark.

This machine has been a great buy for our pool. It collects not only leaves but fine particles such as sand. I would recommend this pool scrubber to anyone seeking one.

Ive only had it for a couple of months but it works great, cleans my nearly 30,000 gallon vinyl lined pool in under the 3 hours. Great investment if it lasts 5 years plus.

This is the best time saver. It cleans our pool beautifully. Takes about 3 hours to run a complete cycle. It is very easy to use and very easy to remove and clean the filters.

Very simple to set and use. Almost plug and play. Cleans the pool very well. I can see and feel a clear difference before and after its job. No issue so far.

Awesome! This poolbot has to be one of the best around. Simple to use and does a great job sucking up dead bugs from the depths of their watery grave.
