We humans are nothing if not constantly seeking some way to further master our environment. One particularly useful output of this seemingly instinctual drive has been humidifiers, devices that, as the name would indicate, humidify the air in a (usually sleeping) environment. Ailments that can be eased via what is called "humidifier therapy" include dry skin, sinus congestion, and basically all manner of dryness related symptoms.
The PureGuardian H8000B, a Guardian Technologies product, serves as a stylish and modern salve to the dryness related ailments treatable via humidifier therapy. Although perhaps not quite as sleek as competitor Dyson's am10, the H8000B is an attractive unit -- particularly when contrasted with the cumbersome clunkers of old. The device comes equipped with the kinds of newfangled features as alien to the aforementioned old clunkers as an emphasis on good design, including an adjustable speed and temperature setting for the mist with an automatic mode that makes use of sensors to detect an appropriate output. The digital display is easy enough to use, and the 2 gallon tank can keep the H8000B pumping moisture into your environment long into the night.
While some users have complained of minor issues, the overall verdict on the PureGuradian H8000B is thoroughly positive. Sensors going on the fritz and the less-warm-than-desired warm mist setting have proved particularly irksome for some, but when the sensors work, the desired humidity feature has been a hit with Guardian Technologies' customers -- and for those with dryness afflictions, minimizing the thought needed to feel comfortable in your own home is likely worth its weight in gold.
The look of the Humidifier looks great . . . Read the manual and its easy to use.
The tall extender releases the mist higher into the room which makes it disperse more efficiently. Very easy to fill and no filters to mess with. I love it so much.
I thought this thing was working but then it just starting leaving dusty residue on everything. Everywhere.
I'm very happy that I got this one very very quite it run for days with out filling it back up.
The best part is, it's actually quiet like the label says. No extra noise. You can hear it a bit, but sounds like the air is running, nothing like a loud motor.
It works very well - we have a large family room. It has helped a lot and is easy to use.
