While most essential oil diffusers emphasize simplicity in their design, with sleek bowl- or vase-shaped forms, the Green Air SpaMister Jasmine has a three-dimensional etching of a flower on the size of its vase-like form. Maybe that's to remind you of the many plants that have given their lives to become essential oils that you can diffuse into an aromatic mist in your bedroom or living room. Given the product's name, the flower in the etching is probably a Jasmine. (The name also implies that it should be addressed as Mister Jasmine, but that's its function -- creating mist -- not its title.
The SpaMister Jasmine is inexpensive and by the standards of aromatherapy devices isn't very powerful, but if you only want to diffuse aromatic mist over a 350 square foot room for five hours, it may be just what you're looking for. It has LED lights to give that room an attractive glow to go with the attractive odor. The built-in timer can hold down the aromatic release to one or two hours and the diffusing can be set to continuous or intermittent. The round, wooden base (a surprisingly common feature on these devices) goes well with the old-fashioned vase look, which gives the impression that it's meant to evoke something that your grandmother might have kept in her living room for watering the plants.
The SpaMister Jasmine should work with any of the essential oils on the market -- and if you look up "essential oils" on Amazon, you'll get a pretty good idea of what's available. If you want your room to smell like lavender, eucalyptus or peppermint, some company out there -- more likely, several companies out there -- will have you covered. No heat is used in the creation of the mist, so the healing properties of the oil aren't damaged. (Whether aromatherapy oils actually have any healing properties beyond stress relief is another question.)
If that three-dimensional jasmine flower on the side of the vase is a bit too ornate for your stylistic tastes, you might want to go with something that has a simpler appearance, like the Aromyst Ultrasonic Glass, the Homedics Ellia Awaken or the Welledia Wellspring.
GreenAir SpaMister is the best ever diffuser. This is quiet, clean, easy to use and very decorative. I keep it running most days and have experienced nothing but pleasure.
This is the prettiest diffuser I have ever found, but that is the only nice thing I can say about it. It does not work! Very frustrating!
