The Fat Shark Transformer is one of several pairs of Fat Shark FPV goggles meant to be paired with an FPV drone for your flying and viewing pleasure. While many brands offer their own FPV headset to pair with their drones, some come headset-free; for those, investing in something like the Fat Shark Transformer is a must. One of their large range of FPV goggle offerings, Fat Shark's Transformer proves itself a solid and fairly-priced buy that can net you some serious savings if goggles aren't included with your high-end drone.
The Fat Shark Transformer falls in the mid-range of Fat Shark's FPV headsets, and while that still means it comes at a decent cost, it also boasts some key features that may make it worth the coin. Chief among these is the HD Diversity module, which serves as the main display for the headset. The LCD screen can be removed for group viewing if desired, or stuck in the back of its headset, and the term "diversity" means something quite beneficial in FPV jargon: multiple signals stream to the headset, with the strongest and clearest signal chosen by the hardware. This results in more clear and consistent performance—a must when zipping around the race track.
There are many reasons to want to fly FPV, and preeminent among these is racing. If you're checking out the Transformer to pair it with some speedy flier and you want to actually race against people, finding a community or league can be daunting. Thankfully, we live in the Internet Age—check out Meetup for local groups, post on popular forums like rcgroups or reddit, and get racing.
For me, these are way better than the FatShark HD II's. Not sure why, but this screen is just so clear and my eyes are both focused and enjoy the view.
I didn't like the screen. Nothing wrong with it but I do better with goggles like the Dominators. Just not my thing!
What can i say apart from wow? Screen is perfect and crystal clear for me. I have dom v2 and these are better... All in all, very impressed!
Even better than the simple panel, even more immersive! Damage to the foam too thin which hurts the nose, but this rule pretty easily with a thicker foam, I'm conquered!
The folded optics create a clear completely in focus bright large HD screen image in a very shallow case; unlike all the other monitor type goggles... Amazing!
Good product, the picture is fantastic. And the price is much cheaper than their other versions.
