Despite it's name, the Eachine VR-007 isn't a pair of virtual reality goggles for playing games intended for the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive, so if you clicked on this link expecting an immersive 3D game experience, you'd be better off clicking on those links instead. In fact, as the name VR-007 also implies, this is a headset that might be more useful for a secret agent like James Bond, at least if gadget-master Q supplied Bond with a quadcopter drone he could use to spy on nearby SPECTRE facilities. The view from this Eachine headset mirrors the view from the camera in your drone, so you can see what the drone sees as it flies around surveying the nearby landscape. It receives that view through a small antenna that can be set to receive short-range 5.8 gigahertz TV signals on 40 different channels, so that the image being broadcast from your drone won't get scrambled with the signal from your neighbor's drone.
The headset runs on a small, rechargeable 9-volt battery with an illuminated gauge on the side that shows you how much charge you have left. Would-be James Bonds don't have to worry if their vision isn't quite as sharp as the real 007's: the goggles are large enough to accommodate a pair of glasses and can be adjusted for myopia if wearing glasses proves to be awkward. Eachine claims that the VR-007 will work with any quadcopter with a 5.8-ghz video transmitter, so you don't have to worry about what brand of drone you own as long as it meets those standard specs.
FPV headsets like this unit are becoming quite common, suggesting that there are a lot of people who want to receive their virtual experience from the real world instead of a computer. If you're in the market for something like this, you should also take a look at the Fat Shark Dominator (which is expensive, but at this writing seem to be the brand to beat), the Yuneec Skyview and the Walkera Goggle 4.
The googles themselves are immersive and of very high quality the screen is bright. Everything feels very well made and solid.
I was amazed at how well these goggles fit and work. Their size allow me to squeeze in my glasses
Overall I am very happy with these goggles, they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
These goggles work great. Good reception and very good resolution.
Great quality compare to the price.
Clarity is pretty good in theses goggles.
Goggles are great! Low resolution doesn't bother when you fly micro quad.
