There's an old quote about a dancing bear, sometimes attributed to Samuel Johnson, that goes, "The important thing isn’t that the bear dances well, rather that the bear dances at all." The Deik 3-in-1 Robot Vacuum sweeps, mops and vacuums floors, but is it a dancing bear? It's a wonder that this robovac can do all those things, but it probably matters to most users that it also does them well. If reviews on Amazon are to be believed, it does. It's still a wonder, though, that one robot can do those things at all.
The 3-in-1 has an impressive set of features, including a built-in gyro sensor that allows it to take an S-shaped route across your floor. It can climb onto carpets (though some users complain that it gets stuck on flimsy, towel-like carpets) and it has depth sensors that keep it from taking a dive off of stairs. It has a programmable schedule, so you can set it up for daily use and come home to a clean floor in the evening when you're so tired from work, shopping or yoga class that you don't even want to look at a broom, much less untangle the hose on an old-fashioned vacuum cleaner and remove the cat hairs that have accumulated during the day. (This vac can also handle cat litter, so presumably its rolling brush with suction module can handle most messes that your pets have left behind.)
A HEPA-type filter catches dust in the air, so if you have any allergies you're not likely to start sneezing and coughing the moment you follow it into a room. Infrared sensors help the bot detect obstacles so that it can slow down before it gets to them and change course when it arrives. A .65-liter water tank keeps the mop supplied with water, though you'll probably need to refill it often. The .9-liter dustbin holds what the manufacturer estimates is a day's worth of dust, though that probably depends on where you live and whether you leave the windows open.
It does a brilliant job of hovering up crumbs, cat hair, dust and generally keeping the floors clean. Setup was easy.I use this vacuum on my tile and laminate flooring.
Lasted a month and now it won’t work. Won’t even hold a charge. When it did charge it got stuck everywhere and would never return to charging station.
