In The Terminator, the titular robot was big, heavy, and slow. He was back in Terminator 2, but with a new adversary. The T-1000 was slimmer, sleeker, and faster. Perhaps Aquabot took a cue from James Cameron in designing its own T2. The Turbo T2 is Aquabot’s follow-up to the Turbo T, and the biggest difference is in the waistline. The T2 is four pounds lighter than its predecessor. Like most sequels, it also has a steeper price tag.

The T2 distinguishes itself from the Turbo T by its speed. The original Turbo T can clean a 40-foot pool in under three hours, impressive in its own right. The T2 has shaved its cleaning time down to 60 minutes. There are two ways it achieves this. Aquabot has streamlined its tank tread design on the T2. The treads are thinner, and they spin faster. The toothy scrubbing comb now rolls in two pieces, allowing the T2 to make sharper turns.

Those treads, like the ones on the original turbo T, give the T2 the ability to drive upon the walls of the pool up to the water line. Also like its predecessor, the T2 can climb and scrub the pool steps. Smartpool's Kleenmachine, by contrast, labels itself "floor specific."

The original Terminator stopped for nothing and no one. It didn't even power down until Sarah Connor squished it in a hydraulic press. The T-1000 was higher maintenance. Shotgun shells, molten steel, and liquid nitrogen all stopped it in its tracks. While there have been no reports of component breakdown or unit malfunction in the original Turbo T, like the newer Terminator model, the T2 pays a price for its speed. Some users report that the T2 is not suitable for daily deployment. It's a fast and effective cleaner, but if it runs too often, it may need frequent maintenance.

Not meant for everyday use. Very high maintenance. Parts wear out pretty fast and replacement parts are a bit pricey.

Aquabot immediately started climbing the walls to clean them. No installation, no home programming, no anxious watching to make sure it was doing its job.

I researched cleaners and chose this based on its speed and cleaning ability. It picks up much smaller debris than anything else I have used.
