The Aquabot Pool Rover Hybrid is one of the company's less expensive models. Consequently, it lacks some of the high-tech wonders found in more upscale machines like the Maytronics Dolphin Quantum. For instance, there's no SmartNav 2.0 Intelligent Robotic Scanning system to help the bot find its way through tricky sections of the pool without getting stuck or repeating itself. The Pool Rover Hybrid nonetheless has a guidance system, but it must not be as advanced because it doesn't have such a high-tech-sounding name. In fact, it simply seems to be called "guidance system." And it doesn't have the Quantum's tractor-tread-like Hypergrip Continuous Tracks or its PowerJet 3D Mobility, but it nonetheless seems to get around okay on plain, old-fashioned wheels. Which, for the price, should be good enough.
What it does have is the ability to find its way around the pool without human assistance and a self-contained filtration system that filters out particles as small as two microns, the same size that the Quantum can filter out at more than twice the price. It has T-Jet hydroscrubs, which clean off surfaces through the power of water alone (and there's plenty of that available in your pool). It can climb the walls of your pool, almost to the water line, scrubbing as it goes. And it has what Aquabot seems to regard as its most important feature, the ability to churn the water in your pool in such a way that you get maximum distribution of the chemicals, like chlorine, that you put into it. According to Aquabot, this will save you a bundle on those chemicals alone, because you won't have to add massive amounts of them to get the same effect.
No, the Pool Rover Hybrid probably won't get the floors and walls of your pool as spotlessly clean as the Quantum would, but you have to lay out a lot less cash (or credit) for the Hybrid. Some other systems you might want to compare it to include the Maytronics Dolphin DX4, the Hayward TigerShark QC or the Smartpool Climber.

No it did not. I was not happy with this product. It got stuck in certain areas many times
